At The Paperie, we take pride in the things that set us apart from the competition. Where else in Newfoundland can you attend special Scrapbooking Events with Guest Designers like Jenn Shurkus, Vicki Boutin, and the Editor of Canadian Scrapbooker, Jackie Ludlage?
Our goal is to be the premium education center for Scrapbookers and Rubber Stampers here in St. John's and we strive to keep Paperie Classes fresh and exciting. We are lucky to have some amazing guest instructors come from our customer base, including Sara Case Strickland, Rae Lynn O'Keefe, Cathie Reed, Lori Smith, and more. Recently we took Sara to Houston to take classes from Tim Holtz, Jennifer McGuire and other industry leaders.
On top of offering our weekly Classes and Crops, we also host a bi-annual Scrapbooking Retreat which grows more and more popular with each year.
Here at The Paperie we aim to provide quality customer service, whether you need help picking out paper to match your photos, would like to try out the latest rubber stamping technique, or need help designing your Wedding Invitations.
We are located at 36 Pippy Place in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador.
Whether you are teenagers preparing prom memories, young parents designing a birthday book, grandparents creating heirloom pieces from the family tree, or brides making your own wedding stationery, we offer the tools and materials you need in comfortable and inviting surroundings. We have a large stock of quality materials as well as magazines and idea books which will provide many creative designs.
The back of the store has a spacious Workshop Area where customers can use die-cutting machines, scissors, templates, punches, idea books and magazines to create their scrapbook pages, greeting cards, wedding invitations, favour boxes and more! Our workshop is available for $5.00 an hour per person and is FREE FOR MEMBERS.
Almost every week we teach CLASSES in which you can complete projects that require a number of steps and go home with the finished product. We cover everything from the Basics of Scrapbooking to Rubber Stamping & Embossing to creating whole Mini Albums. We also offer Wedding Invitation Consultations for Brides and Grooms who wish to make their own invitations or favours (see our WEDDING PAGE for more details).
We sometimes host private bookings or classes in our workshop during store hours, in which case the space will be unavailable to drop-ins. It is always a good idea to check our monthly calendar on the Blog or call ahead to verify workshop availability.

We are avid paper crafters ourselves, we welcome questions and will be happy to demonstrate tools or products in our workshop. We like to keep up on all the latest and greatest information and will explain and demonstrate individual techniques at your request. If we don't know the answer to your question we will do our best to find it!
